This site is the culmination of frustration with the gridlock in congress and the overreach by the Whitehouse and Cabinet.

 

Yes, this site concentrates on the disfunction and hypocrisy of the Republican party.  The gaslighting, misinformation, disinformation, and just plain lies from Trump on down is dividing the country to the extent that it will likely require a generation to overcome, if it is possible.

Republicanism

A political philosophy centered on the idea that a government should be based on the consent of the governed, with power held by the people and exercised through elected representatives. It emphasizes liberty, civic virtue, and opposition to corruption and tyranny.

 

Key Features of Republicanism

• Popular Sovereignty: The authority of the government comes from the people.
• Rule of Law: Laws apply equally to all citizens, including leaders.
• Elected Representation: Citizens elect officials to make decisions on their behalf.
• Civic Virtue: Citizens are expected to actively participate in public life and prioritize the common good.
• Checks and Balances: Power is distributed to prevent any one branch or individual from becoming too powerful.

It seems an oxymoron to say the Democratic party operates under Republicanism based on the titles.  The Republican party, however, has dropped all pretenses of operating in a fair and ethical manner and certainly lack the values they talk about but no longer possess.
